Holst's first original work for wind band, a march he later used in his Second Suite in F, here presented in a new (2005) user-friendly edition combining authenticity, accessibility and practicality. We keep the original small band scoring to encourage totally authentic performance whilst sympathetically adding extra contemporary band parts (which are clearly shown as optional) to expand the forces to suit the needs of present day community, concert and military bands.
